Tyranny will end.

I did not plan on writing this blog until last night. I could not ignore the strong conviction to share as we are living in unprecedented times. History is unfolding before our very eyes.

A few mornings ago, I felt the Lord led me to read the story of the Red Sea parting when He led the Israelites out of Egypt. (Exodus 14) I have been reminded, through this story, that tyranny started a long time ago. It’s not new to the last two years. Tyranny is a result of sin and man attempting to be a “god” in his selfishness and pride. Pharaoh wanted control over the Israelites because he wanted power. And that power led to generations and generations of slaves.

What is the definition of a slave?

Slavery emphasizes the idea of complete ownership and control by an owner or master.

Slaves are owned. They are property. They are a possession.

Slaves do not have the freedom to live their lives the way they desire to.

The Israelites were slaves. They lived under tyranny until God led them out of Egypt and into their own promised land.

One of the most powerful verses in Exodus 14 is verse 13 --> But Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The Lord Himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”

God received all the glory through this story of freedom. He aligned everything perfectly so that His power would be seen. Exodus 14:4 --> “And once again I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he will chase after you. I have planned this to display my glory through Pharaoh and his whole army. After this the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord!”

What I’m about to say might cause some of you to simply stop reading here and that’s okay. But, I challenge you to keep reading and hear a perspective that is different from yours. I’m not writing to type out facts or prove a point. I am writing to share what I believe God wants to do during these historic days…

Our God is still our God, friends.

Tyranny will end by the mighty hand of God.

Two years ago everything changed in our nation and in the world. And still today, everything has changed. The beautiful part is that people are now seeing the truth. People across the nations are seeing tyranny for what it is and have had enough. It brings me to tears seeing videos and reading articles or captions about the trucker protest happening in Canada. It’s an incredible picture of the people finally taking a stand and realizing the power is in their hands, not the government’s. I don’t care “what side” you’re on as far as all the topics we could discuss. What I care most about today (and I pray you do too) is the common unity of FREEDOM. It is freedom that has been gradually or severely taken away from us (depending on the country you live in) It is freedom our governments are aiming to strip away from us.

Do you believe that every human being has individual rights to freedom?

Do you believe that every life was created in the image of God?

Do you believe that every human being has the God given right to make choices for themselves?

Do you believe that every human being has a responsibility to protect the vulnerable and innocent, those yet unborn?

This is the dividing line in society now.

Not masks.

Not vaccines.

Not race.

The value of human life.

This is the line.

Where do you stand today?

Our God is a jealous God and He will not relent until He has our full attention and affection. He is still the God who parts Red Seas and makes a way where there seems to be no way. Hold onto that truth. I believe we are literally seeing the hand of God moving across the nations TODAY in a way that will reawaken our hearts again. Tyranny will end by the mighty hand of God. I believe this now more than ever and I pray so deeply that you do also. It is time to stand. It is time to believe. It is time to open our eyes and see. The Lord is about to do something through the people…

Amen.
